Do you love discovering hidden corners of London? Harrow is bursting with history, green spaces, and cultural landmarks. This year, Harrow Council is celebrating 60 years of Harrow as a London Borough with a special programme of events.
As part of these celebrations, the council is running a series of guided Heritage Walks. I’m thrilled to share that I was commissioned to create two illustrated maps to bring these walks to life! Each map is full of hand-painted landmarks, walking routes, and all the little details that make Harrow such a fascinating place to explore.
What Are the Harrow Heritage Walks?
The Harrow Heritage Walks are designed to highlight the borough’s rich past and natural beauty. Whether you’re exploring the charming historic streets of Pinner or the rolling landscapes of Bentley Priory Nature Reserve, these guided walks are perfect for families, history lovers, and anyone who wants to enjoy Harrow’s green spaces.
This weekend marks the official launch of the walks – with Harrow’s Mayor joining the Bentley Priory walk! It’s a wonderful chance to be part of the celebrations and experience these routes first-hand.

My Illustrated Maps
To reflect Harrow’s character, I painted each key landmark in watercolour. From Pinner’s red phone box and church to Bentley Priory’s deer park and woodlands, each illustration captures the essence of these locations.
Download the Maps
You can download both maps below to take with you on your walk:
Printed copies will also be available at Harrow Art Centre, local libraries, and on a first-come, first-served basis for everyone joining the walks this weekend.
Why Join the Walks?
Celebrate 60 years of Harrow as a London Borough.

Discover hidden gems: From memorials to panoramic London views.
Enjoy nature: Stroll through woodlands, nature reserves, and scenic parks.
Learn local history: Local guides will share stories and secrets from Harrow’s past.

Behind the Scenes
Creating these maps has been a real joy. I spent weeks sketching, painting, and piecing together the layouts. I even tweaked the geography to ensure the maps are both easy to follow and visually beautiful.
I’ll be sharing a behind-the-scenes blog post next week. It will provide a closer look at how I illustrated each map and the creative process behind the project.
Join Us on the Walks!
If you’re local to Harrow, I’d love for you to join the walks this weekend. Sign up via Headstone Manor & Museum and let me know if you spot my illustrated landmarks along the route.
