This is one of my favourite pieces, finished with gold leaf and a dandelion wish, it hangs on my wall and will forever remind me of these weeks in lockdown. During this time I've felt that I've had little control over the direction of my life. Like many of you my plans, hopes & dreams this year are replaced with the unexpected, with challenges, with no perfect solutions. I started this painting but it went through stages, bad stages. Frustrated with it I gave up all my expectations and just droped the paint on, letting it evolve, not really having an ending in mind. I absolutely love it now. Despite the challenges, Covid has also given me a quiet, calm and thoughtful moment in my life. It's taught me that somedays it's OK to just accept things, go with the flow with a wish for a better tomorrow. "10th May 2020, Dandelion Daydreams, Kerry Slack".
