If you’d like some extra inspiration, I highly recommend checking out two fantastic watercolour artists who are true masters at adding those barely-there figures to their street scenes:

Both have an incredible way of suggesting people with just a few simple brushstrokes – their work is well worth exploring.

If you want to go down a rabbit hole, look up Disney flour sacks.  I found these a simple way of understanding how to get some life and energy into my figure drawings.
 

On a side note, I've painted so many diddy people this week that when I walked to the tube station the other day, all I could see were carrot people ahead of me! 😂 So if you start spotting carrot people too, you’ll know you’ve been practising enough!
