I absolutely love working in watercolour and ink. They capture movement brilliantly with their fluid, splashy nature. They have an unpredictability that surprises lots of happy accidents - so gestural and expressive. I created this piece specially for an Earth Day exhibition that is running till the end of July 2022 at St Ann's Shopping Centre, Harrow, London.
This piece was inspired by the words of the Buddhist monk and father of mindfulness - Tich Nhat Hanh - don't ask me to say it :) - "The Earth is not just our environment. We are the earth and the Earth is us. We have always been one with the Earth".
