Step into the hush of a summer evening and capture the magic of a forest twinkling with fireflies. In this relaxed and imaginative watercolour workshop, we’ll create an atmospheric twilight woodland using soft, flowing watercolour techniques. We’ll explore glowing light effects, dreamy layered trees, and simple silhouettes to build a sense of depth and quiet enchantment. You’ll learn how to: Use wet-in-wet washes for misty, magical backgrounds Create glowing fireflies using lifting, masking and glazing techniques Layer trees and foliage to add drama and depth Use texture techniques including, salt, sandpaper, sticks and splashes All materials provided – just bring yourself and your love of colour and light. Perfect for anyone with a bit of watercolour experience who fancies an evening of creative calm and whimsy.
