Designed for those who are new to watercolour painting or looking to refresh their skills, this course will guide you through the essentials of painting in a loose, modern style. What we'll cover: Materials and tools Basic techniques and colour mixing Brush Techniques and Textures Techniques for layering and blending Lots of exercises and mini paintings to bed in the knowledge This course is perfect for beginners and those with some experience looking to refine their skills. Whether you're an absolute novice or have dabbled in watercolours before, this course will help you grow as an artist. What to Bring: Just your enthusiasm and a willingness to experiment. All painting materials supplied Running Saturday afternoons - 31 May to July 12th - 2-4pm (excluding Sat 14th June) Draft course outline - I may modify this according to the needs of the group Week One - Intro to the colour wheel, supplies & the water to paint ratios Week Two - Mark making and texture techniques - Week Three - Reserving the Whites, thirsty brush & lifting out Week Four - Layering, translucency & glazing Week Five - Shading Week Six - Consolidate, pulling it all together & answering your questions

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation & Missed Class Policy Cancelling a Full Course Booking If you need to cancel your place on a course, please give at least 7 days’ notice before the start date for a full refund less a £20 admin charge. The admin charge covers unrecoverable costs such as card payment charges and room hire costs. Unfortunately, cancellations made with less than a week’s notice are non-refundable, as it's often too late to fill the spot. Missing a Class During a Course If you're going to miss a session during a multi-week course (due to holidays, commitments etc.), please let me know at least 3 days in advance. I’ll do my best to offer your place to someone else. Whether it fills or not, I’ll still issue you a voucher you can use for a future one-off class or workshop. With less than 3 days notice, I can only offer you a voucher if someone else fills your spot. No-shows or last-minute cancellations If you miss a session without notice, I’m unable to offer a refund or credit — classes take time to prepare and spaces are limited, so I really appreciate as much notice as possible. Thanks so much for your understanding and support — I can’t wait to paint with you!
